Archiologics

Studio archiologics is a design think tank moved by the need of innovative thinking in architecture. We believe that complex, integrative thinking leads to a complex architecture which can be solved through simple methodologies and analytic algorithmic procedures.

Robotics Clay Printing

Robotics Clay Printing

Archiologics has developed a workshop of 3D robotic clay printing using ABB arms. The clay extruder and all the boards and modules has been produced, programmed and connected by Archiologics. The supports for the clay extruder to the robotic arm were 3D printed and incorporated manually to the robotic arm. We love to design our tools, is the best way to achieve a better quality in results and improve the process.

Where is the ABB printer? Is it part of FabLabUE (there’s a poster in the background that says that on it) or is it something Archiologics owns? Hoe heavy is the extruder and what throughput does it have? Can the quantity of paste extruded be linked to the feed speed? Can I visit the workshop and could someone inform me in detail about the setup?
